Mount Jasper and Jupiter at 1000mm

Shot from the high plains trail across from the NWTC.

The 650-1300 may not be the best lens (or even a good lens), but its value per mm of focal length is impressive. I mostly use it as a telescope.

Jupiter, exposed to show several large moons in orbit.

Pretty mediocre by modern lens standards, but it's a zoom-able lens/telescope combination for under 200 bucks. The eyepiece cost an extra 80, but it was totally worth it- I find it sharper and more gratifying as a telescope than a lens.
